Participation in Mentoring Development Forum

On November 21, the Mentoring Association took part in the forum “Developing Mentoring as a Social Service in the Territorial Community of Kyiv.” We are grateful to our partners at the Kyiv City Center of Social Services for the invitation! It was an honor to share our experience with so many people who truly care about the lives and future of the children.

The goal of the event was to:

• promote and develop mentoring as a social service;

• engage new participants in building support services for children living in institutions and those belonging to socially vulnerable categories;

• highlight the real need for mentors;

• create a space for experience-sharing among active mentors;

• foster a healthy, supportive community for children in residential care;

• raise awareness among professionals and opinion leaders about the practical aspects of providing services to adolescents.

The event brought together specialists from child services and social support centers, mentors, representatives of institutions where children live, partners from NGOs and charitable organizations, as well as professionals from vocational education and social protection sectors.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day was the speech by Alyona Luhantseva, Assistant Coordinator and leader of the youth community Supermentors. Her story, sincerity, and deep involvement captivated everyone.

We thank everyone for this warm, meaningful, and profound time together.Together, we are creating a community where every child can feel supported, cared for, and truly seen.
